He’s been working at this restaurant since he’s 12
LucioBlazques is an old boss at the moment. He’s a friendly Spanish cook. More precisely, he’s now the owner of the restaurant now that he’s been working at this restaurant since he’s little and this enabled him to learn the business properly to manage this place. Lucio’s place is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. At this place where you can taste the best examples of Spanish cuisine, meat dishes and sea products are amazingly good. Years contributed a lot to Lucio’s experience here. And now he can present his experiences on plates for us. Casa Lucio Madrid is one of the bestrestaurants in Madrid in my opinion. If you’d like to go to this place visited often by famous people during weekend, then you should reserve a place weeks before.
Simple yet Characteristic Dishes
The menu at Casa Lucio Madrid is quite simple. They don’t serve you dishes that take hours to prepare. The reason why I’m writing about this place is that I respect the level of success from making simple dishes at this restaurant. For example, one of the favourite starters is Lucio’s scrambled eggs. Roasted, or if you like, they serve the medium-boiled eggs poured over fried potato accompanied with dark rocksalt. Believe me, they don’t add anything else. Don’t ever say, “what’s with this dish, it’s too simple”, it’s one of the most demanded dishes here. Casa Lucio is famous for this simple dish of Spanish cuisine (made at lots of restaurants actually) Thus, it’s not enough to make good food, but also to advertise it well. The best way for this is word of mouth. What people say about your business is a way of marketingand it can contribute a lot to the popularity of your place. Although this dish is quite simple, it’s now unique at Lucio. It’s a special made of tasty organic farm eggs on top of the potatoes with olive oil.
What put this place on the map is the success they’ve had with the famous Spanish dish Churrasco. They make this dish by grilling beef meat with its fat in layers, and thanks to this process, the innerside is soft and the outer layer is sealed beautifully. As the fire doesn’t penetrate inside that much, you can taste theundercooked and rested red meat deep in your mouth. I’ve had a chance to eat Churrasco at a couple of places in Madrid. This is absolutely the best one. I also congratulate the Chef, as I’ve encountered no sinew while eating this meat. There’s a chef that checks the meat here. His name is Aurelio Calderon. He’s a harsh one. He doesn’t tolerate any mistakes. He was busy telling off a waiter for his presentation as we entered the place. His devoutness in this sense contributes to the success of this place. You can’t help enjoying your meat on the special tables cloths as waiters clean and check wine glasses one by one. Also, their wine menu is excellent.
