The Best Coffee Shop in London
I’ve come across Monmouth Coffee London thanks to my dearest friend Müge Ergül who is a successful Turkish chef. We had to walk all the way down Oxford Street and pass the chaos in Chinatown in order to taste this much-praised coffee. This little shop located in the Monmouth Street, close to Covent Garden, deserves much more than good comments!
The place to be for Organic Coffee
The best thing about this little boutique coffeeshop Monmouth Coffee Company is that they don’t tire you out with other stuff on the menu such as soft drinks, sandwiches, milkshake, tea or tea. What you can find is only abundant coffee, and homemade cake if you’re lucky. Monmouth team goes all around the world and buy the best coffee from other boutique coffee producers. They don’t onlyknow about where their coffee comes from, but also the characteristics of coffee beans of the year as they keep in contact with coffee producers. They give detailed information of coffee beans you have as if you’re being informed about the grape tasting. Among the countries they buy coffee, you can see the biggest coffee producing and importing countries such as Ethiopia, Colombia, Indonesia, Brazil, Kenya, Costa Rica, El Salvador. The best thing about these beans is that they are served without any secondary process.
We’ve ordered coffee with milk and espresso. Without any exceptions, espresso is the best I’ve ever had. This is because this coffee is a combination of diverse beans from Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala. Espresso is a refreshing choice with high acidity and strong base. Compared to ordinary espresso, this one is an extraordinary one.
They make Cafe Latte by adding organic milk from a milk producer called Geoff Bowles on top of filter coffee. It’s a great experience to taste this creamy milk with coffee. As full, we couldn’t taste the home-made brownie. I think you shouldn’t make the same mistake.
